The Rosy Fondness

Chic Traditional

Hi All!

Hope the festive season has brought joy to all of your lives. The latter half of the year (especially in India) brings a great deal of holidays and festivities along with it- which means that we get to dress up, deck up and look all shiny and blingy 😉

Anyway, without further ado, let me start off with my look. As most of you know, we celebrated Bakr-Eid (also known as Eid al-Adha) last week. So I decided to go for a more chic-Muslim look this time for my post. Here it is:

Rosy smiles 🙂

A bright rose-pink long kurti, paired up with white ankle-length cotton palazzo pants (with some Chikankari work on them) and a white dupatta/stole.

I am not the one who typically goes for a color as poppy as this pink, but the festivities made me more confident to try it on. And guess what? Bright and poppy colors do work! Especially when you pair them up with neutral shades.

The trend of long kurtis and palazzos is catching on in India, and now I know why! Everything about this kind of outfit is great- it’s comfortable, ethnic, trendy, subtle and glamorous, all at once.

Elegance can never go out of style ❤

Since it was Eid, I decided to go with a bare minimum makeup look. Just some light pink lipstick, a small stroke of eyeliner, a pair of jhumkas for my ears and a thin necklace with a small pendant did the trick.

Also, to add a little bit of my ‘dazzle’, I wore these Indian version elegant crystal-studded Cinderella heels 😉

Feeling Cinderelly 😉

This look can be apt for your festivities and also for a regular date. If you think it is still too subtle for festivals, add in a couple of your favorite crystal bangles, a shimmery stole or scarf and a chic clutch to amp up the glamor.

This look can be suitable for women across ages, complexions and body types. Just add in an accessory or an item that you love, your beautiful smile, and your exuberant confidence- and you’re good to go. 🙂

I’ll be back with another post soon. Till then, remember that you’re naturally beautiful when you are yourself. So keep incorporating yourself, your smile and your soul into your style, and no one will ever disagree over the fact that you’re drop-dead gorgeous and beautiful.

À bientôt 🙂

XOXO
